A native Londoner, Joe Hough became a REALTOR® the same year he joined the Association – 1986. A salesperson with Pelican GMAC Real Estate, he served as Marketing Division President in 2001 and 2002 and as LSTAR President in 2009. During his many years as a REALTOR®, Joe has served on numerous Committees – Golf, MLS®, Professional Standards, Finance and Executive - and Task Forces - Intranet, Technology, Data Management, Staff Benefits Review, Business Partners and Vermiculite. In 2002, he chaired the Conferences Task Force, the same year as he received the Outstanding Service Award. He has chaired the Filogix DMS Advisory Group and the TouchBase and the Security & Security Systems Task Forces. In 2010 Joe continues to sit on the Executive and the Nomination Committees, to chair the DMS Advisory Group and the Technology of the Future Task Force, and to sit on the Government Relations Advisory Group.

Joe also continues to teach a range of member education courses at the Association.

Joe and his wife Janet, also a REALTOR®, make their home in Southwest London. They have two grown sons, Chris (lives in Barbados) and Sean (lives in Toronto), and four wonderful grandchildren. A passionate golfer, Joe also repairs and makes golf clubs for a hobby. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Optimists Club and as a Director, then as President of the London Aquatic Club. He has also coached hockey and served as an official for swim meets.
