lstar honours 2017 student scholarship award recipients

The London and St Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) today announced a total of $6,000 has been awarded to four outstanding students, supporting post-secondary endeavours as they take the next step in their educational journeys.

The LSTAR Student Scholarship Awards recognize four university or college-bound students who have demonstrated academic excellence, a high level of school and community involvement, maturity, responsibility, initiative and strength of character. Eligible applicants must be either the children, grandchildren or under the legal guardianship of Members of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® or Members' staff. Each award recipient receives a $1,500 bursary.

The 2017 recipients are:

  • Felicidy Hocking, granddaughter of LSTAR Member Cathy Swan – A graduate of Catholic Central High School, Felicidy is enrolled in the Childhood and Social Institutions program at Western University’s Kings College.

  • Jack Peifer-Dawson, son of LSTAR Member Tracy Peifer – A graduate of Sir Wilfred Laurier Secondary School, Jack will be pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Waterloo.

  • Natalia Pineda, daughter of LSTAR Member Sandra Pineda – A graduate of St. Andre Bessette Catholic Secondary School, Natalia attends Western University and is pursuing an honours specialization in international relations with a major in French.

  • Chi-en (Amy) Tai, daughter of LSTAR Member Su-chen Chang – A graduate of London Central Secondary School, Amy plans to study Management Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
