Bylaw Review
In December 2022, the LSTAR Governance Committee recommended and the LSTAR Board of Directors approved that an external consultant be engaged to complete a thorough review of the LSTAR Bylaws and make recommendations for revisions, with the project to be completed by June 1, 2023 at a cost not to exceed $25,000.
LSTAR has engaged tng Consulting to complete this review. At the AGM, Members will be asked to ratify proposed changes to the LSTAR Bylaws. Here is a working draft of the proposed changes to the Bylaws. Please note that one of the main changes includes moving Operation Processes from Bylaws to LSTAR Policies, so a working draft of the proposed changes to the Policies is also contained here.
LSTAR is hosting a series of Member Town Halls to get feedback on the proposed changes to the Bylaws and Policies. The first one is scheduled virtually on Thursday, April 13th, between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. Click here to register for the April 13th Member Town Hall.
The Board of Directors is scheduled to approve the final version of these proposed changes at its May 24th meeting.
