LSTAR is looking for Captains and Volunteers to help collect food for the London Food Bank, as part of the 2023 BusinessCares Food Drive.
This year, the annual community event is taking place on December 2nd and 3rd, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Volunteers will be asked to sign up for 2 to 3 hour increments.
There are three stores to choose from and anyone can volunteer – not only LSTAR Members, but also their friends and family! This is also a great opportunity for students to complete their volunteering hours!
The Saturday Captain oversees picking up the truck from BusinessCares Headquarters and driving it to the store. The Sunday Captain oversees driving the truck from the store back to the BusinessCares Headquarters. The Captains will be the main contacts each day.

If you would like to be either a volunteer or a captain, please contact Jennifer Payne via Jennifer [at] LSTAR.ca (Jennifer[at]LSTAR[dot]ca) with your preferred store location and time. Please note that all volunteer roles will be assigned on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
Food donations will be also accepted at LSTAR in support of the BusinessCares Food Drive. If you prefer to help in this way, please drop off your bagged non-perishable food items in our "HAPPY HEART DONATION BOX" located at our front reception. Food donations will be accepted at LSTAR until Friday, December 15th at 4:30 pm.
Cash donations can be made directly through the BusinessCares Food Drive website at www.businesscares.ca/donate.
Last year's event brought in over 126,000 lbs of food and $63,000 in cash donations. We can't wait to see what we can accomplish together this year!
