In March 2025, the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS (LSTAR) proudly increased its monthly per-member donation to the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation's Every REALTOR® Campaign to $3.00 per member per month. This enhanced contribution is a direct result of the generosity of our members and underscores LSTAR's continued commitment to the Foundation's vital mission.
The Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation is dedicated to "advancing the Foundation’s philanthropy by enabling REALTOR® Members and real estate boards to practice effective and ethical fundraising in support of shelter-related causes in Ontario." LSTAR is honoured to support their efforts in providing shelter and hope to communities across the province.
Are you willing to be an Advocate for a deserving local organization or charity that could benefit from the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation’s Every REALTOR® Campaign? If so, please encourage them to send an application to Kelly Bougie, Director of Administration at kbougie [at] lstar.ca (kbougie[at]lstar[dot]ca) no later than August 15, 2025, at 4:30 pm.
How to Apply for a REALTORS Care® Grant:
- Review the Grant Application Guidelines and fill in the Grant Application Form.
- Create a short video (maximum 4 minutes in length) that meets the following requirements:
- Explains how the charitable organization’s project benefits the local community.
- Shows a breakdown of the charity’s current funding.
- Discloses if the organization has or has not received an Ontario REALTORS Care® grant in the past.
- Clearly describes what the REALTORS Care® grant would be used for and what dollar amount would be required to complete the project.
- Includes any other pertinent information that LSTAR’s Community Engagement Committee should know about the organization.
- Upload the video on the charity's YouTube channel, and then send a link to that video along with your completed Grant Application Form to kbougie [at] lstar.ca (kbougie[at]lstar[dot]ca).
LSTAR's Community Engagement Committee will be reviewing all applications and videos during the last two weeks of August 2025. The Committee will use a scoring matrix to evaluate all applications and produce a list of grant finalists. The finalists will then be invited to attend an online meeting via Zoom on September 10, 2025, to answer any additional questions the Committee may have.
As the available funds are limited, we cannot guarantee that all applicants will be awarded funding at this time. However, all funding requests will be kept on file. If any of the applicants receive an unfavourable decision, it is important to note that this outcome does not bear any reflection on the merits of the requesting organization’s project.
If you have any further questions, please contact Kelly Bougie, at kbougie [at] lstar.ca (kbougie[at]lstar[dot]ca).
