LSTAR Honours 2023 Student Scholarship Award Recipients

The London and St Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced today that a total of $10,000 has been granted to four outstanding students, through the 2023 LSTAR Student Scholarship Awards.

These awards recognize university or college-bound students who have demonstrated academic achievement, a high level of school and community involvement, maturity, responsibility, initiative, and strength of character. Eligible applicants must either be the children, grandchildren, or under the legal guardianship of Members of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® or Members’ staff. Each award recipient receives a $2,500 scholarship.

"LSTAR recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of these student leaders, both in and out of the classroom," said Adam Miller, LSTAR 2023 Chair. "The Association is thrilled to support their post-secondary studies and wish them every success as they pursue their dreams."

The 2023 LSTAR Student Scholarship Award recipients are:

  • Reagan Bosveld, daughter of LSTAR Member Michael Bosveld. A graduate of Oakridge Secondary School, Reagan will be attending Laurier University to major in Kinesiology with a minor in Business. Reagan's goal is to become a chiropractor and open her own clinic outside of Ontario.
  • Dennis Chen, son of LSTAR Member Wei Ban. A graduate of London Central Secondary School, Dennis will be attending University of Waterloo to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering. His goal is to work for either a spacecraft or robotics company.
  • Jessica Kumar, daughter of LSTAR Member Aga Matysiewicz. A graduate of Oakridge Secondary School, Jessica will be attending Western University to major in Kinesiology, with the goal of attending medical school and becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
  • Troy Leishman, son of LSTAR Members Ian and Nathalie Leishman. A graduate of Monseigneur Bruyére, Troy will be attending Western University to pursue an engineering degree, in mechatronics and artificial intelligence or computer engineering.
